Hong Kong In a Rice Bowl

Hong Kong In a Rice Bowl by Keegan Wong

Hong Kong In a Rice Bowl

I wished my 350D had see-through capability. Now the mountains that beseige this spectacular city make this shot look like it’s in a bowl. It costed us HKD15 to get on the platform to get this view. Whatever happened to the free stuff in this world nowadays?

Taken at the Peak, Hong Kong. It felt like 5C up there, I swear.

It was worth the money, as this is spectacular. Love the ‘soup bowl’ look, and wow, that smog is pretty intense. Guess America’s not the only smog-full country…

Sometimes in the office I say”Wow, it’s sooooooo hot, and sooooo humid….my God…..just like in Hong Kong!” My co-workers ask with surpise on their faces:” Have YOU been to Hong Kong???” (look at my profile picture) I reply: ” I wish I did;)” Same with your wonderful pictures- I wish I did go and see this place “with my both two eyes”!

Excellent cityscape shot. Famous view, but taken at night with the moon in check and a slight haze around the city makes it different. The lights are well controlled and it wouldn’t be the same shot without the mountains to add to the scale.

Keegan – Chinese saying “Never put sand into your rice bowl” – You did not. You put a lot of beautiful scene in it. Well done and you have framed the “Rice Bowl” so very very well
