I love to paint with bright, bold colors.
As Monet once said, “Color is my daylong obsession, joy, and torment.” And it is. It started with crayons when I was able to get my baby fingers around them. My mother will tell you the countless times she would have to clean crayon marks off the walls. I guess a piece of paper was not big enough.
I was always drawing or painting instead of playing with toys or other children. As I got older came the question of “What are going to do with your life?” An artist wasn’t considered “practical” in my family, but then I was never practical. It took me a while to realize that about myself and to pursue my dream of becoming an artist full time. You’re never too old and it’s never too late!
