Thats amazing – I’ve never seen anything like it.
What causes the light to split like that?
Craig Watson
Smarti77… They are called Crepuscular Rays and there is something on or near the horizon that is causing the shadows to obstruct some of the sun’s light and let some through. The light coming through is “caught” by the “dust and other stuff” in the air to create the bright lines among the blue sky background. There are many other photos of this nature throughout the Bubble and include a shot by nick page, another by Jenni77 and one by me. You can also see more about it by going onto the “google” website and typing in “crepuscular rays” and you will be stunned by what you find. Hope this helps explain this phenomena.
PS I have my fingers crossed that these links work!!! LOL
PPS… A very interesting shot kdonka!
