This was one of the homeless men I met in the streets of downtown Austin while I was at photograpy camp at UT. His name is Arnold,or so he says. Today he was high on Coke when I asked to photograph him.God bless his soul.

I like the selective color of the Live Strong wrist band. It shows the irony. You are right…may God bless this man. He will need all the help he can get to hopefully get off drugs and find a place to call his own.

  • Thank you soo much! I’m glad you got the irony part!

Superb photo. The selective color is a wrist band for being , " Drug Free ".
Amazing what drugs will do . But more amazing what GOD WILL DO.

  • You are so very right about God,He is amazing.Thank you for the compliment! It’s mean a lot, sir!

Besides photographing him did you get him to a place where you could get him food? This is reminiscent of a verse in the Bible, where Jesus asks that we see Him in the poorest who need our help, and did we lend a hand? Who of us could tell Jesus we did more than just look and feel pity?
It is a brilliant shot, by the way.

Yes mam, I gave him a sandwhich from a local resturant. It was truely and experience.
    And thank you very much!
