WOW!!! I am so gripped by this painting! Once again, your ability to use the texture of the acrylics is mesmorising. I can almost hear the rustle of the leaves, the gushing of the water, the howl of the wind. Kimberly, the energy you manage to capture in your artwork is so joyous to see. Every little bit of detail is just perfect here, right down to the light reflecting on the bark of the tree trunk and branches. Another truly wonderful piece, made even more so considering it is your first painting using just knives.

  • Graham, thank you very very much! I truly appreciate the wonderfully thoughtful and detailed comment.

This is beautiful, and can see the water running down the fall. Good technique with the palette knife.

  • Seago, thank you so much for the nice comment!

Lovely textures… Scotland? I love the impasto technique… really brings it out… I must admit I’ve tried using pallette knives but it’s way too tricky!!

Thanks also for your comments on my stream.

  • Thank you very much Jim! I really appreciate it. The painting was inspired by a shot I took in Scotland a few years ago. Your work is gorgeous, I’m happy to have come across it.
