This reminds me of a statue in Montana. It was a similar profile on a rural hill…it took a few passes before I realized it was a steel cowboy.

I love this one of the cowboy with clouds …. it reminds me of my oldest son, he loved horses and was an excellent trainer. Everyone would say, you need to call Craig he is the best with training your “crazy wild” horse. I would like to share him with you….

He died in 1996 at 22 due to an automobile accident. He was a good horseman.

What a beautiful scene. We get to live vicariously through the cowboy’s eyes, he gets to see the sunset, we get to see him. I love the silhouette, usually a sunset makes a situation where the black foreground does not add to the overall design, in this case it does. I made a painting last year which used this same idea, that the foreground be imagined by the viewer, without any detail, just a silhouette.
