It’s really cool how you processed this, and I agree with everyone about the eyes, and i like the grain and the contrast and your toning. But what really makes this work for me is your use of space within the frame. She ponders… It works. I love it.

Nice shot, very relaxed and natural without any forced expression on the face. Love the effects with the eyes. Let me guess… you either raised the contrast and brightness around the eyes ( dodge and burn just like old school ), or maybe it’s the result of erasing the texture effect around the eyes making them look brighter than the overall tones of the image. Looks like the texture effect may have been erased on the lips as well. Nice technique if that’s the case, very effective in isolating individual elements as focal points.
