*A soldier falls and lays in the sand,
his comrades cannot help him,
as he is now in Gods comforting hands.

Like many before him,
and many more will follow,
the horrors of war, death, brings so much sorrow.*

A late flowering Poppy lying alone in the wet sand on a beach.
Just like many brave young men who have fought and died for freedom.

Soon after I took this shot, I was inspired to write the short poem above.

It is our duty to remember…
    those who gave their all,
those who are now paying a terrible price and
those who strive to protect us.

  • Thank you Jesika, and well said. x
