The Bow of the Lizard & Cadgwith Lifeboat, on the Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall.
I was lucky to get this shot, as the general public are not allowed below the viewing platform, and also had a guided tour of the boat, courtesy of the engineer Malcolm, on ‘loan’ from the Fowey Lifeboat Station, who was standing in for the regular engineer. I was also lucky enough to get the Crew Lift up and down to the station, instead of 220 steps EW, which is just as well considering my knee.
The Lifeboat is a ‘Tamar Class’ lifeboat, and more about it, and the station, can be found Here, and is always there, if you need help at sea.
I left the vignetting in, which is courtesy of my rubber lens hood, as it gives it a sense of a fisheye, and helps frame the pic in the lower part.
I hope you like it.
Thank you for looking.
