Job Done

This is a Sea King Helicopter belonging to 771 Squadron S&R, RNAS Culdrose, Helston, Cornwall.

They had just done a display with the Lifeboats at the Dawlish Air Show, 20/08/09.

I have added a texture to this as the sky did not look very good and wanted to give it more impact.

I think I have done ok.
What do you think? Be honest please.

Anyway, thank you for looking.
Hope you like it.

    looks great Richard..
If i’m being picky, the texture over the rotars could do with being covered, other than that, looks awesome :o)

  • Richard Veal replied

Thank you Mark, and I was thinking the same, but on thinking about it, it gives it a Bermuda Triangle sort of feel/look, and decided to keep it as it is.

Spot on so full of drama, I just have to add this as a fav. Its superbly done, I usually don’t like the pastiche painting effect of playing with textures but this is different as it creates something completely new. Mark Tull may have a point but I think you would have to have it poster sized to have it make any real difference.

  • Richard Veal replied

Many thanks Peter, and for the fave also.
    Very much appreciated.

Again, thought I would try something different by adding a texture, as the sky looked quite bland.
