Refreshments
The ‘thirst’ [first] in the Beer Garden Series.
Cornish Pride.
A nice pint of ‘Tribute Bitter’, brewed in St Austell, Cornwall, and enjoyed in many pubs in Cornwall and Devon.
Would make an ideal Fathers Day Card, which is approaching fast.
Hope you enjoy looking at this, as much as I enjoyed drinking it. LOL

Beautiful shot, proper cornish! where’d the bubbles go ;o) ? I can’t remember the name of the bakers, but I had a steak and Tribute pasty last month, superb!!! Gorgeous clear image, love it!
Richard Veal replied
Many thanks Lynne.
This pint was poured straight out the barrel. No hand pump, just the barrel tap.
Au naturel so to say.
If you remember where you got that pasty, let me know please, as I am off to the Lizard mid June. x
Richard Veal replied
PS.
Thanks also for the fave.
Much appreciated. x

Lovely shot of a lovely pint!
We usually take two week long holidays in the UK every year, one of the things we enjoy doing is to track down the local brewerias as part of our hols…this Easter we called in at the Black Sheep brewery…a great of golden sheep left with me!!! Also visisted St Peters, Green King, Badger, Black Isle, etc…
Keep up the good work….hic!!
Richard Veal replied
Ahhh. Greene King Abbot Ale. Very nice brew indeed.
We visited the St Austell brewery a few weeks ago. Wow, what a day that was.
Anyway, back to the photo. Many fanksh for the comet Shhhaunn. Hic. :-))

Love this image Richard. Having recently experienced my first pint of Tribute (I know that is shocking but in the Midlands we all drink Banks’) I have posted a link to your image on the Tribute_Ale Twitter account.

Martin McKiernan
I liked the bit under the piccy – best viewed large!!! What – a quart? Where do I get a pint of this wonderful brew. I used to search the UK for the best pint back in the 70’s. Its a long (!) time ago…memories of Wadworths Triple X B, and odd stuff like Bishops Tipple, Spitfire etc. I am back in UK in September in the Portsmouth area for a week. Can I get Tribute anywhere there. Super shot!
Richard Veal replied
Many thanks Martin.
As for the beer, it is mainly confined to Devon & Cornwall, although you may be lucky and find a pub that has one as a guest beer. Their cider is good also. ‘Cornish Rattler’ and at 6%, you dont need much. LOL
A reasonable brew in that area you should find, is Harveys. Brewed in Lewes, some 50-60 miles along the coast, so should be available in Pompey.
Hope you find something decent if Harveys is not available.
Keep me posted.
ATB.
Richard.
Martin McKiernan
Cheers Richard!!!
I’ll see whats on offer! I will have to get down to Cornwall one fine day. It has always been a target but so far only managed Torquay on the South coast and Lynton & Lynmouth on the West. One day!
Martin

This Map might be of help. :-))

Richard Veal replied
Many thanks Richard.
Did you try the cider, Cornish Rattler ?
Thats worth a try also. Its cloudy though and 6%.
sigfusson
