Market Day

Market Day

Fresh veg on a market stall in Wimborne Market, Dorset.
All the colours caught my eye.
I focussed on the middle of the stall to slightly ‘blur’ the front and rear of the veg, and also just showing some of the prospective buyers of the goods on display.

Thanks for looking.
Hope you like it.

A wonderful colourful display Richard and it makes a great photo subject.
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall country I believe, very well captured,
    Regards, Rod.

  • Richard Veal replied

Many thanks Rod, but not the same atmosphere as your London markets.
HF-W has a shop in Axminster, in the square, and has a farm office and land along Trinity Hill Road.
Was never quite sure of the exact location of River Cottage though, but I think that it was the Dorset/Somerset border off the A37.

I have seen him selling produce at this market on TV programs, River Cottage is 7 or 8 miles inland from Weymouth.

  • Richard Veal replied

    Thanks for that Rod.
I was always under the impression he was further inland, as he referred to Sutton Bingham/Halstock area a couple of times.

Wow, super image, so colourful. Makes me feel like rushing into the kitchen to make a stew lol

  • Richard Veal replied

    LOL. Thanks Lyn.
As I come from the London area, markets down here are too quiet and lack a lot of atmosphere, which really adds to the excitement of being in a market.
