My beloved cat, Stoney. He doesn’t often pretend to be a statue, but when he does, it is so striking….

    Kim, Stoney is absolutely majestic.
But I guess you know that cause I`m sure he reminds you every minute of every day :-)
Lovely job of processing, and I like the classic simplicity of the framing and pose.
    Beautiful work!

  • Yes, I see you understand the feline mind!!! He does indeed try to run the place – thankfully one of the dogs usually reminds him he is outnumbered!! Appreciate your acknowledgement of the simplicity!!

Firstly, Stoney is just such an exquisite looking feline…what beautiful eyes he has and, in the typical cat pose, he really does remind me of Egyptian symbolized cats…..he seems very intently to be gazing at something..or somebody…

Secondly, your processing (I sort of dislike that word, actually)…rewind….
Secondly, your creative work is just outstanding with the subtle mimic of a light ray frame right…one of the things about textured images is that people forget about lighting… people like you and Polly never do that and, as can be seen from Stoney here, the light has been retained thereby making the texture part of the image and not an add-on….excellent work, my friend… and pats to your Stoney from me..I’d say more about his stunning appearance but I’m getting some warning looks from my three who are all around me right now…. meow…

  • Kat – he is indeed beautiful, and has my blue eyes, so there is no doubt he is “my son”!!! lol
Thank you for your kind words on him – and he responded to your pat with a purrrrr. : } But I’m glad you didn’t go so far as to make yours jealous – jealous cats are never a pretty thing!!!
And thank you for your wonderful comment on the ‘creative work’ – I like that term better too!! …you are always teaching me!! I thank you especially for commenting on the light – I’m afraid I don’t always remember that light is the key, maybe I do it subconsciously, but you are so right about it making all the difference in texture work!!!
You have made my day with this wonderful conversation!!! : } Hugs, hugs, and hugs!!!

  • PS Stoney is peaking over my laptop screen as I type – “how famous am I? how beautiful did that one say I am?” ….there will be no living with him now!!! Oh, What Have I Done????
