    It looks like a vintage photo taken in Paris or somewhere else exotic. Very nicely done, Kim.

  • Paris… only in my dreams Sheryl!!! Thank you for the lovely comment – that it transported you even just a little is reward!!! xxX

    I actually do like vintage that does look vintage treatment free, this does it well Kim!

  • I’m with you on that Angelika – it is easy to get carried away with treatment, and I’m glad I pulled back on this one… So glad you like it!!
    Back in my printing days, I loved to print b&w with this type of edge… so you may see more of that!! : }

    …I’ll say it again… the bridge people in St. Paul, Minnesota should be calling you… seriously, these city images you take should be in your newspaper…they are professional-quality stuff and need to be seen….do you have a local website or the like that you can submit them to, if not a newspaper (where they likely would not reproduce well)….people need to see these…

    No clue where you were standing when you took this but your perspective is incredible, Kim…your choice of tones/processing is good too to provide a rather stark and chilly look yet you’ve managed to bring out tones within a slim tonal range…Plus, the eye is carried back into the cityscape beyond the bridge….really well done.. totally impressive work.

  • Thank you so very, very much dear Kat!! I do have a show coming up in August (must start to get ready for that!), and on your suggestion, I will check out what venues may be out there… I love the Twin Cities, but especially St. Paul.
    I am standing just about under this bridge on the south side of the river, and I agree, the view made for a dramatic perspective – it was the only location along the river that provided a clear view of the bridge so I tried to make the best of it. I thank you so very much for your wonderful support and encouragement!! …means more to me than I could ever express!! XXXXX
