The Emperor Tamarin Monkey (Saguinus imperator) lives in the southwest Amazon Basin, in east Peru, north Bolivia and in the west Brazilian states of Acre and Amazonas. It reaches a length of 24 to 26 centimetres and has a 35 centimetre long tail. It weighs around 300 to 400 grams. The Emperor Tamarin Monkey inhabits tropical rainforests, living deep in the forest and also in open tree-covered areas, and is a diurnal monkey, spending most of its days in the trees.
