An Afghan woman looks at merchandise at a burqa shop in Herat in western Afghanistan July 2, 2009. Burqa seller Nehmatullah Yusefy’s (not in picture) sales at the shop have dropped 50 percent since the Taliban were toppled in 2001 and he says he will soon need to start stocking competing styles of Islamic dress to make up for lost profits. Yes, although It’s their cultural thing to wear a blue burqa. some wear black, some wear white so no hard and fast rule to wear a specific color. blue was present even before taliban. so taliban have done nothing with blue..Many holy buildings & mosques were dominated by this shade of Blue.
