This is a pencil drawing (on 110gsm cartridge paper) of a hand with a heart balanced on the back (as we did with jacks when I was younger). Will the heart be thrown up and dropped or caught?
The colours are more subtle in the original but had to be enhanced to be viewed on the computer with the level of detail I am happy with.
I think there are times in all people’s lives when they risk their own heart or someone else’s.
This is part of a series of hand and feet drawings. I hope to complete at least fifty in the next couple of years.
Feel free to contact me about doing one for you or someone you want a very individual present for.
The inspiration for this series was seeing brides hands ("see ":http://www.hennabyheather.com/gallery.htm:)
decorated with henna (I hope to eventually have a gallery of 50).
It seems to be a tradition in which only women participate.

I feel for the people of Haiti as their hearts must be breaking over the huge loss of life. This heart is reaching out for Haiti for Feb & March 2010. If sold during these months the proceeds will go to a Haiti charity. Their hearts and bodies have been thrown in the air and many lives are in the balance. Are we prepared to reach out?
Many thanks to the hosts of Heart for Haiti for featuring this work, the honour is so appreciated.
Thanks to the other hosts of Fantastic Primitive Art for Featuring this work. Most Appreciated.
