Great shot Karen. Love the tones – pardon the pun! You were lucky to get this shot. When I was at Southbank last week a guy was setting up for some sort of juggling act. He posed for me as soon as he saw my camera out (I didn’t take the shot as I hate posed shots like that) and while he was setting up I took photos of the surrounding area. All of a sudden, he told me to see his agent if I wanted to take photos and could I please move on. I think he was even more upset when I told him I hadn’t taken any photos of him. Quite put me off the street performers at Southbank and I moved on to the art gallery!

  • Karen Cook replied

Yeah they get quite cheeky Annie! I’m glad you ignored him and didn’t give him the satisfaction of taking his photo :o) Most of the street performers I’ve watched have been quite happy for me to throw a few coins into their hat and take their photo, but the ones I usually pick aren’t the ones who “put on an act” so to speak… I usually pick the more genuine musos who are happy souls!! This guy was lost in his music and I doubt he even noticed me set up with my tripod, given the amount of other people passing by!!!

A wonderfully ‘moving’ photo. Was the sax that bad that they were running away? Greta shot and treatment.

  • Karen Cook replied

Thanks Denis! In fact he was so good that there were quite a few people milling about. I think it was sheer luck that I snapped it at the exact moment there was a break in the traffic :o)
