Ingredients Pizza rolls:
400g flour
A dash of sugar
A dash of salt
3 spoons of oil
1 block of yeast (14g)
200ml lukewarm water
9 slices of ham
9 slices of cheese (e.g. Gouda)
Ingredients garlic dip:
250g mayonnaise
2 cloves of garlic
A dash of salt
A dash of sugar
A dash of pepper
A dash of milk
A small amount of ketchup (roundabout 50ml)
a small amount of a mixture of 8 herbs (parsley, dill, cress, chervil, chive, sorrel, borage, salad burnet)
Preparation of pizza rolls:
Dissolve the yeast in the water with a dash of sugar.
Put all the other ingredients into a dough-bowl. Add the yeast-water and mix everything.
Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
Mix it again and let it rest for another 15 minutes.
Divide the dough into three equal parts.
Do the following steps for each portion of the dough!
Roll out the dough (30cm x 20cm).
Put 3 slices of ham into the middle of the rolled out dough as a line and put 2 slices of cheese on top of it.
Make a roll. Put some cheese (1 slice) on top of the roll and cut it into 8 pieces.
Put the pieces onto a baking tray laid out with parchment paper.
Bake it at 230°C for 15 – 20 minutes in the upper tray of the oven.
Preparation of the garlic dip:
Put mayonnaise, ketchup, mixed herbs and the crushed garlic into a bowl and mix it with a hand blender.
Smooth the mixture with some milk until it has got a real smooth consistence.
Season to taste with salt, pepper and sugar.
Serve and enjoy!
