    Ha ha! I have to go back to my little kidhood to remember our Sylvia, the baby Red my sister rescued from our river bank. She slept in a box in our back shed, so in those days, this was a pretty common sight. I remember well being amazed that an animal that was SO ultra-alert & ultra-active when awake was so utterly dead to the world when sleeping. But if her shed companion, our Springer Spaniel Toby, barked, she was on her feet & ready for the fray! Great memories.
