Egret on the Coopers Creek, South Australia.by Kay Cunningham
We camped just outside of Innamincka by the Coopers Creek and were delighted with the bird life. I sketched and painted and the egret seen here is the result of one of the painting sessions.
Watercolour on Arches paper
Windsor and Newton paints with gum arabic added to extend the drying time. (Gave me two seconds instead of only one!)
Simplistic but very effective, soft & lovely, great work Kay!
Thanks Sharpie. I painted this as an illustration for a book I wrote for children. It was a wooden jigsaw, learning to count and encouraging child activities book.
