Hint Of Water - Gammon Ranges National Park - Australia by

Birds seem to know when there has been rain in the outback and flock there in droves (or should that be flights) and the skies and areas around a previously dry lake or waterhole is suddenly abuzz with feathers and chattering. Miraculous!

I painted this as part of a series to select just one for the Australian National Cancer Research Foundation fundraising calendar of which I have been invited to be one of 13 artists to have their work featured. The calendar is a 2014 one and the opening launch is this My 18th. There will be a release of butterflies and the project is called Le Papillon and sponsors for the event and for each butterfly released are being sought. You may look at the website on www.lepapillonncrf.com

If you can make a contribution to this fabulous fundraising event you will be contributing to a great cause and hopefully the solution/cure to that terrible condition of cancer.

Sales of any of this artwork bought on the bubble will be donated to the National Cancer Research Foundation.

I feel truly honoured to be asked to be part of this calendar.

Thank you

Kay

Very beautiful scene Kay, and for such a worthy cause. Kudos for you and your efforts.

  • Thanks Jim – the Gammon Ranges are quite remote and the pat we stayed in was very quiet and one had time to wander and wonder! I hope the NCRF does well out of this fundraising event – governments have cut so many funds to scientific and medical research in Australia. Not good!

    Thanks again x kay

  • Thank you Deborah – I am delighted to be featured with such a group of wonderful artists. My painting was however of an inland dry lake which was beginning to show signs of becoming a lake – after the rain! An inland sea I guess it could be called :)) Kay
