Through the years my idea of who I am has changed many times. I started out a long time ago as a vagabond wandering the country in my van, or hitchhiking. I wanted to see this big country of ours and meet all the strange characters inhabiting it. Through the years I worked my way around the country doing whatever it was that was available. This included everything from tattooing to being a handyman.

Now that I am older and live a more “stable’ life my idea of myself has once again undergone a major refit. Long ago as a child I worked with my father as his assistant on many commercial photo shoots. At my tender young age this had the effect of making me want to run and hide at the sight of cameras and lighting equipment. Unexpectedly in the last two years I have come to find photography as my primary artistic output. I now live and breathe photography in the modern digital sense. It is a far cry from the days of my youth spent slogging backdrops and 4×5’s and for that I am thankful.

From the time I was a child I always had a way with pen and pencil and that will always be a part of me. I have long wanted to see my black pen art transformed into wearable art.
