Taken with a Canon EOS 60D, 18-55mm lens (ISO-100, F5.6, 4 sec exposure) with editing done in CS5

Location: St Saviours Cathedral, Goulburn, NSW, Australia

A night shoot with Ian English and Trish Meyer whilst on the Bubble Rumble weekend in Goulburn, found us stopping first at St Saviours, a beautiful old Cathedral we were lucky enough to be able to explore and photograph the previous day. Click here if you want to read the history of this cathedral.

The lights were so harsh on the building that when editing I chose to go down the BW road and think it’s come up a treat, so if you’re viewing this I hope you like it also :o)

The B&W works very well with this shot Sharon !
I too found the floodlighting harsh, compared to shots I took a few years ago,
when the tone was much warmer before the light of day was completely gone.

  • Glad you like it Trish :o)

Awesome shot Sharon…..absolutely LOVE St Saviour’s with some emotive history there….and its a stunning building, both inside and out.
I’ve taken some pics as well and have some here on RB…but nothing as stunning as this.
And yes, the floodlighting is strong!! so I agree that your B&W treatment/choice was a good one.
