I’ve wanted to photograph a ferris wheel in motion for sometime now, and whilst out yesterday walking around the city of Melbourne I noticed this situated just next door to the MCG, rather than photograph this last night, I decided to go back tonight and see what I could get. I did get a bit worried when the wheel wasn’t spinning, but luckily for me at that moment a few people bought some tickets and the wheel was spinning in no time.
This shot was pretty much the last one I took tonight as the heavens opened not long after the photo had been taken, leaving me with an approx 10 min walk back to the hotel in the pouring rain and without an umbrella (happy happy joy joy).
Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Taken with a Canon EOS 60D, 6 second exposure, with the ever so trusty 15mm fisheye lens
Haha, I was just leaving you a comment on your latest beauty!!!!! So glad you like them Claire (gotta admit I like the night time stuff a bit more than my day time stuff)… Thanx for the fave too :o)
How effective!!! I usually have a plastic bag somewhere on me to pull over my camera just in case – those storms seem to sneak up on us photographers. You are going to come back on overload with all these magic images Sharon!!
Haha, I’m sitting on the window seat in the cottage that we’re staying in watching the pouring rain outside (looks like it may just fine up though).. Got the plastic bag in my camera bag now (I’ve also got a cover bag which came with the case)… Glad you like this one Rosalie :o)
