Got up at sparrows to get a sunrise shot from Merlin’s lookout Hill End, not much of one happening on this particular day though (bit overcast at first).
Jeff Stockton and I went to the Hawkes Hill (aka Kissing Point) lookout. This shot here was the first taken when we arrived at Hawkes. The fog in the valley was just unbelievable and I was glad that some of that got into the shot.
Have got to admit that this one is up there with my faves from this weekend (along with another one that will uploaded shortly).

If you are viewing this I hope you like it just as much as I do…

Location: Hawkes Hill (aka Kissing Point) lookout, Hill End, NSW, Australia

_Taken with a Canon EOS 60D with one ND grad just covering the lens, corrections made in CS5 (which I have to thank another fellow bubbler Ian English for showing me a few more tricks).

I don’t know what is more inviting, the image you have captured, or that bench to watch the start of a new day. Excellent capture.

  • Wow, thanks Jason, I was so happy that the clouds somehow disappeared for about half hour whilst we were shooting there…

It’s wonderful to think to be there on the bench and relax!!!

  • It was so beautiful up there with the fog and we were lucky that the clouds did give way for the time that we were up there :o)

Absolutely stunning shot … we were all fascinated by these seats on all the lookouts. Just love how you’ve captured this one♥

  • I know what you mean about the seats, I had actually sat there the morning before just looking out into the wilderness watching the fog disappear, I could have sat there all day, thanx for the comment and the fave too :o)
