I’m Katrina and as you look at my bubble you will see a variety of works in different mediums as I am yet to develop a distinct style, currently studying Visual Arts I’m torn between Abstraction and Figurativism.
Abstracts: these works don’t have any stand-out concept that I know of, maybe it’s all sub-concious. But what I do know is that I really enjoy creating them, the colours, the texture and the way the paint feels (I use my hands for my abstracts).
Figuratives: these figures come to mind when I am in different situations they are of myself or people I know. I keep them black and white to simplify it so the viewer doesn’t get distracted from the message or feeling of the work, the figures themselves remain faceless because I find that the viewer can relate easier with the work if it is not defined as one particular person.
