Creative types have this down to a science— or do they? What does it take to move someone to the point that they have to “get it out”of their system, opening their mind, body, and soul to pour out their creativity onto the first blank surface they can reach for in their moment of genius? What is it that motivates artists? Why do we stare at a blank canvas waiting for just the right moment and position to make our first stroke? Every element of our physical and emotional being comes in to play. We visualize it in our minds and feel what is so eager to introduce itself. Artists communicate in such a manner that our conversations go beyond where words can take us. Beyond the depths of our existence to levels that surpass that of which even we are capable of understanding. Yet we know from the time the first stroke is made, as we move our way through the process of our work adding the final touches and giving birth to our creations, that everything is perfect. Then and only then do we feel compelled to share with the world.
