After the recent rain I decided to head up the mountains to shoot some waterfalls.

Beautiful landscape, nicely captured
– Malcolm Katon
I’ve yet to take such a shot because I’ve only fairly recently discovered the art of slowing the shutter to blur the movement of water. But I was just thinking how unnatural it is. It’s not what we see with our eyes, and yet it’s desirable. Maybe that’s true of most “creative” photography as it is of certain art… an impression rather than a factual representation. You’re a pro, Malcolm, what do you think?
I think all photos are creative to some extent as the photographer decides on how much is in focus (aperture), how much light is in the scene (ISO/Shutter), how much movement is captured (shutter) and what is included in the photo and what is excluded.
Thank you Ursula:-)

Beautifully captured. Great composition & angle, one of the best I’ve seen of these falls & a great amount of water as well
Thank you very much.
Lovely exposure and composition. Fabulous work Malcolm!
Thank you Arfan, how have you been?
Not bad mate, busy life. Not as regular as used to be. Hope you’ve been well!
