I’m sure my neighbours think that I’ve lost my marbles, especially when I’m on my hands and knees at their place looking for interesting things to photograph!

A bee’s-eye view. As to losing marbles, I solved that little problem by buying a few bags of marbles and filling a large beer glass which is on the mantle shelf. Actually, there are two.

  • That’s a good idea Gary, that way I can prove that I haven’t lost them!

I think that having your neighbors think you’ve lost your marbles comes with the territory and can be turned to your advantage. One of mine wasn’t very impressed with me skulking around all the time until I delivered a print of her flowers. Now we have some great conversations and she’s recommended some of my work to her friends.

  • My neighbours are actually quite good and like my photography too. We do a lot to help each other out which is how it should be.
