This lighthouse (built in 1865 and still standing in its original spot) is no longer in service. Due to the shifting sands it has been buried behind several large sand dunes and can no longer be seen from the water. The lighthouse is 10.4m (34’) tall. That might give you some idea how tall the sand dunes are! St. Peters Harbour, Prince Edward Island. Captured on a CASIO EX-ZS150.

I never leave the front door without my camera. I can’t seem to put it down for long. Perhaps that makes me an addict rather than an enthusiast ~ sometimes it is hard to tell the difference. But, in any case, thank you very much for taking the time to browse through my collection. I hope you enjoy what you see! ~ Sincerely, Katie

Nice work, love the contrast on the ground and the delicate detail in the clouds.

  • thank you otto! we arrived at this location at the end of the day and the lighting was not particularly great. however, i thought the light on the clouds gave me a bit of a moody feeling. so, i went ahead and took some shots. this ended up being one of my faves that day! i’m so glad you like it! thank you for your thoughts on it and the fave! both are very much appreciated!
