Despite only being built in 1967, the lighthouse is already being swallowed up by sand dunes that grow at alarming rates along the eastern shores of the Island. It is 8.2m (26.9’) tall. Covehead, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Captured on a CASIO EX-ZS150

I never leave the front door without my camera. I can’t seem to put it down for long. Perhaps that makes me an addict rather than an enthusiast ~ sometimes it is hard to tell the difference. But, in any case, thank you very much for taking the time to browse through my collection. I hope you enjoy what you see! ~ Sincerely, Katie

Hopw cute this is…like a cross between a lighthouse and a windmill!

  • what a wonderful observation! we don’t have traditional windmills around here and i never would have seen the connection myself until you mentioned it. but, i think you are quite right! it does look like a mix between the two! this structure is typical for lighthouses on the island. thanks for the fave!!
