Because of Australia’s drought we are all being encouraged to be Waterwise.

I thought this quote from the “Reminiscences of an Old Squatter Robert Bruce” shows how being waterwise is nothing new to Aussies.

“…the overseer arrived as Mrs McLeod was transferring water in which eggs had been boiled, into a saucepan lid:

‘…six boys were all thoroughly scrubbed, and yet at the end there was some water left in the lid for the hens…’ "
