Drop Of Red
My entry – Canon Photo5 comp – Brief 5 -Practically Black.
Brief 1 – Splat
Brief 2 – Closeup
Brief 4 – Portrait
Taken in my new light tent using a technique called ‘darkfield lighting’.
A black cloth placed in the middle third of the background of the white tent with two desk lamps behind the tent shining through either side of the black cloth.
A black cloth was also draped over the top and R & L sides of the tent to keep out any other light. All ambient light blocked or turned off.
The light coming through the sides of the background illuminates the sides of the subject to obtain an outline.
