Crab Tree
Colour version. See mono version HERE
On the banks of Lake Bonney, Barmera, South Australia.
We dubbed these trees “Crab Trees” as they appear to be standing on little legs as if to run away as sand crabs do.

Excellent Image Kathy !!!! it’s a ‘toss up’ between this and th B&W, possibly this one as it shows more detail !! Your composition and perspective are marvelous, especially with the water’s edge and the background trees !!

Thanks Phil. I couldn’t decide between them so thought I’d upload both and see what others think. Cheers :o)

.... and this colour version is terrific too…. I can’t decide between the two, I just know that either one would look fantastic printed up!

Kathy, this is stunning. Woud you mid telling us what planet this was taken on? Never seen anything quite like it, and you did an amazing job of capturing the vibe. The BW rocks too and I can`t say which I like better. Welcome to planet Crabtree!

They are both fantastic images Kathy (this one and the B&W version). I would love to head down there and get some images myself. I have wanted to photograph this location ever since I went past there on the way to Renmark for a job.
