Lunch Time

I was having lunch with a friend today and outside our dining room window this beautiful Monarch butterfly landed so I grabbed my camera and I was off. I managed to get 2 shots before she gracefully soared away dancing on the breeze.

    Thanks Rachel, since I’ve had this camera somehow it’s made it’s home in the sideboard cupboard in the dining room….so handy when grandkids are over etc to access it quickly :))

    Thanks Cranston, nice to meet you! We are near the end of out monarch caterpillar/butterfly season here in the Southern Hemisphere in New Zealand. Just noticed today probably the last eggs for the season laid on my plants. I still have some butterflies ready to emerge also! It’s fascinating watching the whole process!!

    How did I miss seeing this? Wow Kathy, what a fabulous photograph! I mean this is STUNNING! The clarity of all of the butterfly is just perfect and that he’s on a field of blue and green is wonderful. This is a BIG WOW! So well done!!!
