Born in England , I spent the first 10 years of my life there, before up and leaving for Germany’s newly unified capital Berlin in 1992 with my family.
At first, my brother and I were not at all happy, but soon made friends and fell in love with the city, my new home. I spent 18 years in Berlin, with many defining moments occurring there.
In 2009 I moved again, this time across the world to Newcastle, Australia. Life in Newcastle is very different from Berlin, but I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to experience both.
Photos have always been a love of mine, owning a vast collection of albums documenting my family’s life, as well as my own and that of my friends. Some people may call it an obsession, I’d prefer to call it passion!
Photography has always been the artform I related to the most. However, I only dared to put myself out there a few years ago and haven’t put my camera down since.
My love of travel does lend itself to finding new and unique models and photographs, much to the irritation of my travel companions. But photographs, like music, offer an emotional connection that cannot be rivalled and are the best souvenirs of a holiday!
But most of all I love photographing people; grown-ups, kids, families, friends…everyone. To me, every person is unique and beautiful.
I will always try to create a relaxed atmosphere – sit back and just capture the moments and emotions. I want people to look at their photographs in years to come and remember exactly how they felt on that particular day…
