A beautiful blue lace cap hydrangea blossom with raindrops. The shrub was growing in a container in our garden in the North-East of England. When it grew too large for its container, my husband transplanted it into the grounds of our local church, where it seems to have “settled in” very nicely now that its roots can expand.

I have been heavily involved in photography since 2006 and it has pushed my other interests into the background. I have always used Canon cameras, but recently treated myself to a Nikon Coolpix.
At this rate I will soon need a wheelbarrow, when I go out on a photoshoot! Most of my pictures are handheld, as I do not like working with tripods. They are a nuisance to cart around and it takes ages to assemble the things. However, for certain kinds of photography they are indispensable.
