Autumn Joy by

I came across this pretty bush in the grounds of the Royal Horticultural Society at Hyde Hall, near Rettendon in Essex. Its name “Hebstfreude” means “autumn joy” in English. As it was then June, it was too early for its autumn glory, but I thought that it was still pretty enough to take a picture of. The biological name, according to the notice is “sedum”. Presented here in a virtual mirrored frame, the original unframed picture is available on request.

About kathrynsgallery

I have been heavily involved in photography since 2006 and it has pushed my other interests into the background. I use Canon cameras, but intend to treat myself to a Nikon in the near future.

At this rate I will soon need a wheelbarrow, when I go out on a photoshoot! Most of my pictures are handheld, as I do not like working with tripods. They are a nuisance to cart around and it takes ages to assemble the things. However, for certain kinds of photography they are indispensable.
