A view of Luskentyre Beach and the Hills of Harris looking across the bay from Seilebost Beach. The two beaches are separated by the sea, when the tide is in. They are situated on the Atlantic seabord of the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides, a group of islands off the North-West coast of Scotland, UK. The Isle of Harris is very sparsely populated. There are no counties, as it is a very small island, although one of the largest in the group.

You cannot afford to drive around there without having filled your petrol tank and you must be prepared to stop quickly for sheep and cattle who stray onto the road! A very peaceful slice of unspoiled natural beauty for those who want to get away from it all! I highly recommend it as a holiday destination. I am looking forward to our fourth trip there next year!
