Let the woman have her foot

Trapped inside these walls
Again…

She stares at that space
Sit still my girl and they won’t sense your mind
Her heart is pounding with confused understanding
Again…

She watches how to see them go inside and out
Whirling around him
Black, brown and grey
Trying to tease him
What he knows is what they’ve done
Forward marching
Watching libations of blood
Battle runs on outside these walls
Eternal struggles as life falls
She breathes deep now and tastes pain in the air
Watching as friends lose to their tormented hearts
Beating in rhythm we choose to move on
Walk, run, fall, cry
Stand up
Try

Trapped inside these walls
Again…

I stare at a beautiful face
Will he feel me watching him?
Can I hide all I find?
I sink so deep
A history repeats
Yet I just skim the surface
The darkness looks for me
Yet I cannot satisfy
The sacrifice I am becoming
Bleeds from a heart that feels nothing
Yet lives in death in pain
Again…

The girl should find a way to go home
Again…

But where is there?
Memories of a life she could not bare
Let her have a memento then
Let the woman have her foot
Let them not disappear from her forever.
