If there is anyone who cares (some of you might :-) ) I have been a little more scarce around the bubble in the last month or so… there were a number of little excuses for this… but mainly I was losing a fight with this darned skin irritation dermatitis inflammation that happened to viciously attack my fingertips which took away my capacity to type, write and make music for some months… fucking horrible… everything I touched for a while sent shocks of pain up my arm due to really deep raw cracking… I have 3 kids, I put it down to having been using wet wipes constantly since baby 2 in 2005, which intensified with baby 3 in 2007…

or… it was my karma for being egotistical, opinionated and argumentative on redbubble… either/or are possible… but now, after steroids, I have semi-normal fingers again… no, no unusual hair or ‘other’ things… not those steroids…

At any rate I have some expression to do… feel free to read on if you want to…

1. I have been operating the bubble and groups on the minimalist side of the brain due to not having hands… sorry if I haven’t appeared the good host… I shall be ramping up a lot of activity soon, particularly in the Art Action Union Group and Collaboral Damage… I may not have been publishing, but I have been thinking, talking and organising…

1. I have investigated ways of getting money for the Art Action Group to expand, there is a website on the horizon and I have begun to build a team of artists who are interested in art with messages… more on that soon…

1. the australian business arts foundation for the australian cultural fund had a free seminar in brisbane yesterday that I attended with a really possitive attitude…(more about that later too…) but… it was an experience unanticipated…

I need business cards NOW, I discovered… I made contacts from Music, Disability and thanks to Emmy from New Tang Dynasty Television for investing lunch and cuppocino in me while she talked to me about her work and efforts in raising awareness of the repression of Falun Gong and poverty in China… I discovered through this woman’s passion that all my ideas for the Action Group are necessary…

1. Now… the Australian Cultural Fund is managed by the Australian Business Arts Foundation… it is an awesome concept to help Australian bona-fide artists raise funds for projects, study, travel etc. YOU NEED to look into it if you are a struggling artists… it’s kind of like a grants process EXCEPT you find the money yourself from anyone in the community except for family members and they can donate to you directly (by nominated you as a donor beneficiary) and receive tax deduction just like they would from any other charitable donation… there are rules to separate the donors from the sponsors etc… but it means that you can effectively fund raise for yourself using the organisation as an agent to manage the funds and the tax… of course you need to register the project and do the work but the possibilities to expand artistically in this way may free some up to actually get some great productions underway and develop a supporter base of actually people who may collect etc. and follow your career or something… who knows… but I thought it was definitely worth me passing it on…

1. I intend on catching up with my groups a bit and stirring the pot… getting back into the flow… I never left the site of course, but being an observer for so long has sort of altered my perspective of my participation and my brain has given me heaps more things to do…

1. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS COMMENTED ON MY WORK OR SENT ME BUBBLEMAILS THAT I HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO RETURN YET… I’ll answer the priority ones but the rest are lost to my time schedule but thanks and sorry…

1. ALSO BIG SHOUT OUT to REDBUBBLE for my BUBBLE honours and to all who congratulated me… I have also been immortalised on the About page as a QUEEN… awesome!...

1. Literariness, I have been slow and fast at the same time… since the “honourable mention” in the Written in the Stars competition I was most excited and sent it to Australian reader… I’m expecting a rejection soon, how long does that take anyway? I have only written one poem in the last couple of months, that’s SHAME on me…. I have also had winifred picked up on by greenbeards check it out… I think it will be in the next edition… greenbeards is put together by a couple of celtic redubbler’s great initiative… :-)

1. Artistically, I have been snapping heaps and heaps of photos – a “pre-arranged” shoot in an old condemned church… an afternoon of self portraiture… a trip to the wetlands and finding strange electrical structures and man made towers to move towards some other concepts I have in mind… I have only posted this one so far, not sure where I am heading with the rest, but I felt the need to do something a little brighter in colour, which takes me to sci-fi generally… I know…

1. I still haven’t updated any group blogs… that will happen soon… so will some specific updates…

1. I’m gonna keep adding to this list as I think of things I need to do… how sad is that, my to do list is a public domain novel…
