An early morning scene on the Kalamazoo River where shortly upstream it empties into Lake Michigan in the tourist town of Saugatuck, Michigan (USA). White swans can often be seen resting on the water, but I had never seen them take flight. After this shot, they flew right over me but the photos where a big blur! The sound of their wings in flight astounded me with a loud buzzing along with the flapping sound of their wings!
In order to capture this I had to hike under a highway overpass and climb up the embankment onto the bridge. Kinda risky to be taking photos on a highway overpass, but at least I chose to do it on a Sunday morning with less traffic.
