Springtime snow meltdown, the creek at Pier Cove Beach in Southwest Michigan (USA) near my home uncovers stones unique to our area. The cool crystal clear water empties into Lake Michigan as the sun reflects the strong currents and ripples. By summer the creek slows to a trickle and a layer sand covers most of the stones that were exposed during spring’s stronger currents.
