Artist's Description

“Äs we reached the summit, we were welcomed with a warm and golden sunset. Not for long though, as I glanced at the black clouds casting their shadows over the distant hills. If we were to stay dry we’d better hurry and set up camp.” Focal length 6m-20mm.

Macro photograph of a rock. I took this one in my backyard, I have a rock retaining wall at the back of the garden. The black mountains in this photograph is actually created by the shadow cast by the sun. One of the few macro photos that I have taken in direct sunlight. If you look closely I think I was being observed by some little insect or spider in the crevice. Don’t think I would’ve been so close if I had know it was a spider! LOL!
