Beautiful landscape abstract. I love the warm rustic colours against the cold blues and whites. Those textures are great! Congratulations!

  • Thankyou Kasia, always great to read your feedback, so glad that you like it too :)))

Of course, because of the textures evoke “slubs”, silk and linen slubs, specifically— I am thinking textile, in fact, a very beautiful, expensive textile, that I would turn on end for a suit, or leave elongated for upholstery. The actual textures you achieved were fun to watch come together. Great finish, Kathie!

  • Thanks Frannie, appreciate your fabulous feedback and positive comments on this work. Textile design is something that I wanted to do when I was at school many years ago. I have designed a swimwear range using some of my paintings and macro photos for the fabric…..no idea what to do with them though…..LOL! It was for a local competition, but sadly, I didn’t win!

Wonderful work Kathie – so cool!

  • Thanks Terri, I really enjoyed working on this one. I’m gradually increasing my knowledge of using acrylics and mediums in different and interesting ways……I just want to paint all day and night…..LOL! I’m not really satisfied with painting on a small scale, I love the freedom of a large canvas, I like this size as a minimum!
