Mystic Mountain
“I awoke with the sound of wood chopping in the distance. I reluctantly climbed out from under the colourful goats hair blanket hoping I could dress quickly, as the icy mountain air rushed under the blanket. I could smell the smoke in the air as the local inhabitants of the village started the fires to cook our breakfast. What culinary delights would I find this morning? Travelling to these remote areas was always full of surprises, especially when it came to food! I lifted the latch and opened the wooden door…..I gasped as the chilly air filled my lungs…and there before me I saw in all it’s glory….what we had travelled so far to see…....Mystic Mountain!”
Macro photograph taken from a rock….aperture priority, taken in late afternoon light.
My passion is macro photography, I love to find landscapes and abstract art in rocks and bark that looks like a painting worthy of hanging in a gallery!
