Storm Rider

Storm Rider

“As I regained consciousness the storm was gaining momentum. I had strapped myself to my raft knowing that I may well not survive the night. As the dawn approached I struggled to hold on to what was left of my makeshift raft. My hands and feet were raw from the rope that I had used to secure myself. The size of the waves was terrifying and I prayed that with the new day the storm would pass and I would be safe…....”

Macro photograph taken from a palm tree on the Gold Coast! This was taken just after the middle of the day from the shaded side of the tree. I am rather passionate about macro photography mostly of bark, rocks and flowers!! :)

.....in the knowledge that soon after I would once again step onto safe, secure dry land. The salt water burned into my raw flesh like acid, leaving me to wonder what other surprises Mother Nature would throw at me.

Another fine mess you’ve got me into, LOL!!! Nice pic, Kathie the Dreamweaver.

  • Kathie Nichols replied

Oh lensman…you fell overboard hours ago…gosh…did you manage to swim back to the raft to finish the story for me??? Thanks again for your wonderful addition and great comments!! :)
