It’s obvious where you get your inspiration, but to actually find the bark that portrays the scene that comes to mind is uncanny. Good colours and wonderful texture. You can almost imagine a surfer on that wave with the crest about to come crashing down.

What er Wave Kathie. Hokusai would be impressed. I most certainly am impressed but when it comes to your work I always am. Magnificent image & your attention to detail is teriffic. XX

Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments on my paperbark series. To answer Bianca’s question, these are macro photographs where I have adjusted the contrast some to highlight the colours. The time of day when I take the pic and the lighting is rather crucial to achieve the blue colours! Amazing hey!!!
