Nice pic, Now, do you know how the name ‘dandelion’ came to be?
It’s actually a corruption of it’s more common name of Lion’s tooth, or rather, it’s French name of ‘Dent de Lyon’ (Leon?) which refer more to the yellow flower than this, the seed head.
I don’t know how many people know that, but a few more do now.
